Mammoth Lakes, California
The town of Mammoth is quite large and capable of hosting tourists from all over.
Of all the places in the Eastern Sierras we would rate mammoth the easiest most accessible spot but that also comes with summer crowds.
Checkout Visit mammoth for all local reservations etc.
We love Mammoth especially for the Ski resort activities. In the Summer the mountain is typically open for Mountain biking. If you feel the thrill set in check out a local bike shop or rent a bike straight from the mountain.
We also prefer the sleepier smaller towns of the Sierras. June lake is a great place to visit!
